Acceptable Use Policy (Writerer)

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains what you can and cannot do when using Writerer (the "Service"). It is part of the Writerer Terms of Service (https://www.writerer.com/terms). It applies to all users, including people who open shared content through a share link and invited readers who sign in with an emailed code.

If you do not agree to this AUP, do not use the Service.

1. Be Lawful and Respect Others

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate any law or regulation
• Infringe intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, trade secrets)
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or incite violence against others
• Publish non-consensual intimate imagery or sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance)
• Dox, stalk, or invade someone's privacy
• Impersonate someone or misrepresent your identity

2. Don't Abuse Sharing, Invitations, or Comments

Share links that anyone can open are bearer-token links. Invite-only links are meant only for the people invited. You may not:

• Attempt to guess, enumerate, or brute-force share tokens or one-time codes
• Share a link you were not authorized to share
• Forward an invitation link or one-time code that was sent to you, or let anyone else use your reader account
• Copy, republish, or redistribute shared content beyond what its author allowed
• Post abusive, illegal, or infringing comments on shared content
• Attempt to access content beyond what a shared link or invitation permits
• Use invitations to send unsolicited or bulk email, or invite anyone who has not agreed to receive an invitation from you

3. Don't Attack or Misuse the Service

You may not:

• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or its backend
• Bypass access controls, authentication, security mechanisms, plan limits, or Pro gating
• Upload or transmit malware, spyware, or other harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by overloading it (for example automated traffic or denial-of-service)
• Access our servers, APIs, or shared-content pages with bots, scrapers, or other automated means, except through the normal operation of the Writerer app
• Extract or bulk-copy assets bundled with the app (such as fonts, sound effects, images, and templates) to use or distribute outside the app
• Create accounts or use referral, creator, or promotional codes in ways meant to collect rewards you are not entitled to

4. Use Integrations Responsibly

Grammar and style checking

If you use the LanguageTool or ProWritingAid integrations:

• You are responsible for complying with those services' terms and policies
• Do not submit content you do not have the right to share with those providers

Publishing to connected platforms

If you connect a WordPress site, Ghost site, or Discord channel and publish or post announcements from Writerer:

• You are responsible for the content you publish and for having the right to publish it
• You must follow the terms and content rules of each platform you publish to
• Do not use publishing to post spam or to post to sites or channels you are not authorized to use

Research web clipper

If you use the web clipper:

• Do not use it for unlawful scraping or circumvention
• Respect website terms of use and robots/crawl restrictions where applicable
• Clip only content you have the right to copy and store

5. Enforcement

We may take action if you violate this AUP, including:

• Removing or disabling access to shared content
• Revoking or disabling share links or invitations
• Revoking promotional or referral grants obtained in violation of this AUP
• Suspending or terminating your access to cloud features
• Terminating your account (if you have one)
• Reporting activity to law enforcement where required or appropriate
